The flowers are lovely and mild so they are a good first bite. Leaves are delicious too but may take some getting used to. Forced leaves are very mild in comparison.Ottawa Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14486499450332482461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-42227261043822850412012-01-24T21:12:05.084-08:002012-01-24T21:12:05.084-08:00I have noticed goats love dandelions so they must ...I have noticed goats love dandelions so they must be good as they are quite picky feeders.
I havn't tried them myself so maybe i will give them a go.Andreahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16309666420472665198noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-77752460897984851522012-01-24T19:24:37.372-08:002012-01-24T19:24:37.372-08:00I like wild greens and I've been expanding my ...I like wild greens and I've been expanding my "bitter" palate. I have never heard of this but I must try. The petals are not bitter at all if you remove ever trace of green.

@CallieK: Sounds delicious!

@kitsapFG: I used to force them under my sink or in a cupboard. The blanching it provides definitely does result in tender and more mild greens which would be a real advantage with the varieties that had more bitter flavors.kitsapFGhttp://wwww.modernvictorygarden.com/apps/blog/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-32448995064709684312012-01-23T14:01:49.087-08:002012-01-23T14:01:49.087-08:00Strangely enough I've never had dandelion gree...Strangely enough I've never had dandelion greens.
