WHY I look at bare soil around my tomato plants whenthey're young is beyond me... especially when I have lots of lettuce seeds to plant. (Duh, Kim! Why didn't you think of that sooner?!)Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14395380166485303934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-65339868719976459802009-03-02T06:09:00.000-08:002009-03-02T06:09:00.000-08:00They're fairly widely available Deb but I am offer...They're fairly widely available Deb but I am offering them up to people too so if you email me (email is under my profile) with your address, I'm happy to send you a sample for seed saving purposes. We are in a new place it's going to be from scratch this year, and since everything but a small patch is in heavy shade I don't have much room. I will try the bok choi in the "shadier" spot and see how they do.
Ta,
Deb in the OkanaganDebhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14133236228952504852noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-88596334934072798542009-02-26T20:41:00.000-08:002009-02-26T20:41:00.000-08:00This is a fantastic post - well done! As the grape vine was young, I figured it was an opportunity to grow something up it while it was still small. Now that I think about it though it would be fun to let a couple peas intermingle with the more mature grape vine as well. I grow lupins under my fruit trees to help fix nitrogen so why not?Ottawa Gardenerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14486499450332482461noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-23830225729943929402009-02-25T04:22:00.000-08:002009-02-25T04:22:00.000-08:00Well I've never done it so I can't say it is my fa...Well I've never done it so I can't say it is my favorite, but it's a cool idea - the build as it grows potato bins. With a 4x4 space, supposedly you can grow 100lbs of potatoes. I'd love to try it, but that is a lot of dirt to add.Daphne Gouldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17305049560953735881noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7157796120640152479.post-88796961531579140292009-02-24T19:58:00.000-08:002009-02-24T19:58:00.000-08:00These are some great ideas and some very cool comb...These are some great ideas and some very cool combinations.
