A little worm eaten but huge and beautiful all the same. I am not sure if cabbage ranks highly in my new sustainable planting project. It requires too much space for seed saving and would cross with some kinds of Kale, which is a far better plant for various reasons that I will elaborate on in another post but check it out. That is a pretty big acorn perched on top too.
The variety is a heritage: Mammoth Red Rock. Oh yeah, a heritage brassica with vigour! It's a late season variety with a dense head, and fantastic nutty flavour.
